Food Talk (6 Hours)

Food Talk contains simple nutrition messages conveyed in an interactive manner, through activities and discussions. Every class has recipe demonstrations to introduce participants to new, healthy foods that can become staples in their diets. Educational materials are distributed to help participants practice what they learned. Training is provided in partnership with the UGA Extension office and weekly participation is strongly encouraged.

Food to Fork (3 Hours)

Food is the cornerstone for survival. We also know that what we eat and drink and how much can affect our health. According to the CDC 1 in 4 adults will be diagnosed with a chronic disease. That is a startling statistic! Join Macon-Bibb UGA Cooperative Extension to learn more about simple lifestyle changes that can reduce the risk of Cancer, Diabetes and Hypertension. We will explore food options that promote good health, taste simple recipes and participate in low impact chair yoga!
